Overstay Fines in Thailand
The fine for overstaying in Thailand is 500 Baht per day, with a maximum penalty of 20,000 Baht for overstays of 40 days or more. You can pay this fine at airport immigration when leaving Thailand. As of February 1, 2023:
- Less than 90 days overstayed: 500 Baht per day, max 20,000 Baht.
- Over 90 days overstayed: This is a serious issue. We recommend contacting an immigration lawyer for assistance.
