I’m paying $1,500 for a month at Luxhome Mekong Hotel. Booking.com didn’t have many options down here. Some of the hotels were nice and felt luxurious, but the rooms were tiny — around 200–300 sq ft. There were also a few basic but decent-looking apartments for about $400. The super-saver in me was very tempted. 😂
I’m actually pushing myself to spend more on an apartment if it’s truly worth it. Realistically, based on my budget, I could be spending $4–5K a month on rent. I’ve just always lived well below my means and invested as much as possible into stocks each month.
Luxhome was the best option I found on Booking for $50 per night. At 550 sq ft, it’s much more spacious than other luxury-looking hotels, which typically offer only 200–300 sq ft. While those options are cheaper, the extra space really makes a difference—especially since I stayed for a full month.
The apartment is large, elegant, and comfortable. I especially enjoyed relaxing in the bathtub.
